Regular tiles do not have sufficient
"Slip Resistance" value according to the European standards. Biopox can change that.
Increase Slip Resistance R11/R12
Increases tile slip resistance to european standard guidelines.
Reduces slip accidents within your household.
Cost effective
More cost effiective than renovating the entire tile flooring.
Easy application

Anti slip rating according to
European Standards
Slip resistance rating is conducted using the
"Oil Wet Ramp Test". The test is conducted by having a person walk on a platform that is wetted with oil lubricant. The platform is then raised in steepness until the person falls, in which the angle is recorded and used to determined the R value.
Low water exposure
Slip Angle 10-19°
R10 slip resistance is recommended for areas which are exposed small amount of water such as the kitchen.
Dry surfaces
Slip angle 6-10°
Surfaces that has R9 slip resistance are suited for dry areas that is not exposed to water such as living areas and bedrooms.
Intermediate water exposure
Slip angle 19-27°
Areas that experiences high water exposure such as bathroom or poolside as well as terraces are required to have at least R11 slip resistance.
Extremely wet surface
Slip angle 27-35°
Surface exposed to oil/fat wetting
Slip angle 35°+
Areas that experiences high water exposure such as the bathroom, poolside and balcony as well as outdoor walkways are required to have R12 slip resistance to ensure safety.
R13 slip resistance is required on surfaces that is exposed to oil/fatty substances such as butter and meat production lines.

ANTISLIP FOR TILES
BIOPOX Anti-Slip Technology "Clear Sand"
Adds roughness to the surface with clear beads that create a rough texture that can be felt upon touch. A special clear polymer resin is used to provide a coating with great adhesion to tile surfaces and still retaining the desired clear appearance.
General anti-slip products on the Market
Based on acidic solutions that corrodes the gloss layer
off the tile surface. The acid creates small pores on the surface to provide a suction effect when exposed to water. This method provides insufficient friction and requires frequent maintainance. Over time contaminants will fill up these pores causing the surface to become slippery once again.
